Brave US Bicycle Company Upends Trump Tariffs!

Terry Precision Cycling vs US Supreme Court

Following the so-called “Liberation Day” when the Trump administration announced massive tariffs on goods imported into the US, a group of five businesses collectively brought a court action, which yesterday resulted in a court ruling against the Trump administration.

Amazingly, the bicycle industry was well represented in the US Court of International Trade by a small company specializing in women’s cycling apparel and accessories, Terry Precision Cycling.

Terry Precision Cycling manufactures in the US using imported and locally sourced components – CEO Nik Holm stated that like numerous businesses across the US, his company would struggle to survive under the extreme Trump tariff regime.

Although the battle is far from over, the court strongly affirmed that the US President’s executive orders had far exceeded the limits imposed by the Constitution.

Terry Precision Cycling is owned by the Flagg Group who also own Quality Bicycle Products, one of the largest parts and accessories distributors in the US. The Flagg Group is supporting their subsidiary’s action. QBP has a long history of supporting equity & inclusion, sustainability, community causes and the cycling community.

Flagg Group Chairman Steve Flagg recently commented to The BIN editor Simon Jamison, “You keep doing the right thing, you will come out on top in the end.”
