Founded in 2016 and based in Zhuhai, China – conveniently located near Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau – L-Twoo is a high-tech bicycle component manufacturer specializing in the research, development, production, and sales of bicycle braking and shifting systems. L-Twoo has made astonishing progress in the last few years and now offers a proven range of components rivalling the two majors, Shimano and SRAM in quality and performance.
L-Twoo components are starting to appear as original equipment on lower-end bicycles sold in Australia. For example the pictured Fluid Alpine gravel bike on sale at Anaconda (for $499…) features L-Twoo’s R2 7-speed system. A modest start, but look out for mid and high-end bikes featuring eGR and eRX components giving 105/Ultegra levels of performance at dramatically low prices.
The company’s R&D is proceeding rapidly, and for 2025, L-Twoo is offering a revised eGR electronic gearshift groupset tailored for gravel bikes, supporting 10-12 speed cassettes, with a maximum variation of 46T, crash-protection design, and equipped with a patented L-TWOO damping system giving accurate shifting on the roughest terrain. The system incorporates eGR hydraulic brake calipers and there is a ‘E-lever’ option for flat handlebars. The BIN will be testing the eGR electronic gearshift groupset shortly but go to www.ltwoo.com in the meantime for more information.
